If I had to explain this chicken, I’d say it’s the cousin to goulash. Both originating from Hungary, both spiced with paprika, just one is chicken while the other is beef. This chicken paprikash is delicious, simple, and really quick to make. You may serve it with potatoes, rice, bread, dumplings, or even pap. I hope you enjoy it as much as I and my family do.
Chicken paprikash
Ingredients
- 3 Drumsticks
- 3 Thighs
- Olive oil
- 1 Med Onion
- 4 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Tsp Paprika
- 1 Tsp Vegeta
- ½ Cup Tomato juice or canned tomatoes
- ¼ Cup Fresh cream
Instructions
- In a medium pot saute onions till translucent
- Add chicken and let it brown
- Add garlic and fry for 2 minutes
- Add paprika and vegeta
- Add in vegetable stok or hot water
- Cook for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is done
- Add in the cream season with salt, pepper and parsley
Notes
- Instead of tomato juice, you may use; canned tomatoes and you may put them through a blender to get a smooth sauce at the end
- Instead of Vegeta, you may use any powdered veggie spice or you may just leave it out.
