Red lentil soup

Ingredients

Cup
Red lentils

400g
Canned tomatoes
3
Cloves of garlic

Paprika

Ground ginger

Turmeric

Garam masala or curry powder
Instructions
Saute chopped onion for about 10 minutes until its transluscent
Add garlic and fry for 3 more minutes
Blend tomatoes and add to the onion
Add lentils, spices and vegetable stock
Cook for about 30 minutes or until the lentils are soft
Take half of the lentils, blend till smooth an return to the pot
Let it simmer for a few minutes, add water to get the desired consistency
Season with salt and enjoy
Notes
You may add more spices if you prefer a more spicy soup. This also included chili.
